Our Founder (my dad), Phillip Jensen, began in the rubber industry in 1962. A young man sweeping the floors and learning his craft from the bottom. With his eagerness to learn and hard work ethic, he became the plant manager of over 18 employees by age 20. By 1979, he was Vice President and GM, leading over 45 employees. In 1979, Phillip got an opportunity to go into business for himself. Purchasing Matz Rubber company. Being a Los Angelous Rubber group member and his commitment to learn and grow continually. He found himself working side by side with chemists and industry professionals. In 1991, we moved to Pahrump, Nevada. Phil had plans of moving the company out of California and with retirement in his sights. Stagecoach Manufacturing was born in 1992. I began working for Stagecoach in 1997, much like my Dad. I began at the bottom, Learning as much as possible from his many years of experience. I have had my hands on every aspect of building Stagecoach, from Building and designing all of the hydraulic systems and pumps to laying the groundwork and placement of new presses
For many years, my dad and me would travel back and forth to Matz Rubber in California every week. While at Matz in CA, I would attend rubber meetings with the Talargi rubber group and attend OSHA certification and training classes. I have learned many valuable lessons from the company, including rubber compounding, mixing, and running presses. I would take all lessons to Stagecoach Manufacturing in the dry desert of Pahrump, Nevada. I tried to find my way after I graduated high school. I attended WyoTech for diesel mechanics after completing my courses. I found out that this wasn’t my path, so I decided to make Stagecoach Manufacturing my career. My passion was dirt-modified racing. I spent many years in my free time traveling to different racing events as far east as Iowa. Attending trade schools at night for chassis fabrication, where I learned chassis design, structural strength, tig welding, tube bending, and suspension design. I attended business classes at the local community college. I took over Stagecoach as President in 2013.
Seeing the value of having our molds and tools made in-house, I completed a two-year Manufacturing and CNC Machine technology course. in 2018. In 2022, Stagecoach My dad still comes to work to help and give me his advice, knowledge, wisdom, and great stories of his childhood.
